Multiple Teams · Runner of the Week

Adrian Cantu has been a great addition to the Trojan Cross Country family. As a freshmen, Adrian has helped the JV team to a first win and two second place wins. Last week at West Guth Adrian won the JV division race in a time of 13.23 for the two mile course. Good luck to Adrian and the rest of the Trojans next week at district. We asked Adrian some questions about Cross Country and here are his answers.

Why did you choose to run cross country?

I saw older kids running around the school in elementary and I thought it was cool, so I waited till the next year to start.


What is the best thing you like about cross country?

I love the breeze on my face and being able to forget the problems of everyday life.


What is your goal for this year?

My goal for this year is to catch up to and pass the upper class runners to be the best.


What advice can you give students wanting to join cross country?

If and when you join, take care of your body, push yourself, and get good grades.
