This past weekend, the Moody Trojans Cross Country competed at TAMUK Invitational in Kingsville. Jacob Martinez is a freshmen competing on the JV level. Jacob finished second place after leading most of the race. Finishing the two mile course in 11:41. The week before in Beeville, Jacob finished first in a time of 11:30.

Last week in Beeville, the Moody Boys JV team nearly beat Alice to claim 1st place. This would have made it two weeks in a roll finishing 1st. Tim Escamilla started the season where he left off last year, strong. He finished 3rd in the freshmen division at district in 2016. This pasted weekend the boys cross country team took 1st place. The field was made up of 17 schools from around the area. This Saturday the boys and girls will be traveling to Beeville to complete at Veterans Park.
